Decorative Wooden Doormat
Please pay what you can afford. (Suggested: $10) I’m not sure if this is technically a “doormat” in the sense that it’s intended for scraping gunk off your feet, but that’s what I’m calling it. Instead, it defines your entry space and creates a unique conversation starter for visitors to your home. It also makes a great gift project and sells well at craft shows or online. It’s the kind of project you can probably batch out pretty efficiently and sell for a large markup.I built mine out of a single 2x6 redwood board I bought for $25 at the home center. It’s 8’ long and there was very little left over. This is a very sturdy construction that will last for years to come. I built my first one in 2011 which has held up to over 12 years of daily trampling and is still in use.
