Assayer "P" visible.  History: On September 20, 1641, the Spanish Galleon Nuestra Señora de la Pura y Limpia Concepcion ("the Concepcion"), under the command of Admiral Don Juan de Villavicencio, set sail for Spain from Havana Cuba in a fleet of 21 ships.Since there had not b been. shipment of precious metal the precious year, the Concepsion carried what was reputed to be the richest treasure ever to sail from the new world. Among the treasures were hand-struck silver coins minted in Mexico and Potosi, Bolivia, and precious items from the Orient, arriving by way of the Philippines (Manila). Spices, indigo, fine porcelain, and jade were neatly packed in the ship's hull, destined to line the coffers
