81% Sangiovese, 16% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon The grapes for the Falko Rosso come from both Tuscany wineries of the Loacker family, Corte Pavone at Montalcino and Valdifalco in Maremma. The name for the wine has its historic origins in the tradition of falconry in Maremma. Loacker's Falko Rosso is ruby red and medium-bodied. The nose is very neat and clean. On the palate you'll taste red fruits with a bit of spices and hints of eucalyptus. Good dry tannins round things out. This is a versatile wine suitable for different occasions and food pairings, such as risotto, pasta, stew, and cheeses like Pecorino. The cultivation at Loacker Valdifalco is biodynamic.
