This original concert poster from Michigan is offered for auction and was designed by the late, legendary, poster artist, Gary Grimshaw. This truly rare find is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 395, plate, 4.194. On December 10, 1971, John Lennon and Yoko Ono made a one-of-a-kind appearance at the John Sinclair Freedom Rally held at the Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, MI. Lennon and Ono top the bill, along with a wide array of musicians, radical activists, and others, who gathered to support Sinclair, the influential, radical poet, music writer, manager of the MC5, founder, and leader of the White Panther Party and a tireless marijuana advocate, who had been sentenced to 10 years in jail for possessing two joints he gave to an undercover police officer.
