The Joe Hunt Battery Eliminator kit is used in applications where bike owners want to eliminate the battery and still retain the use of their lighting system. A capacitor is used to accomplish this by storing voltage, so that at low RPM's the lights don't dim due to the reduction in voltage that is being produced.   INSTALLATION: Mount eliminator in a convenient location using the strap provided.The wire coming from the regulator that would normally go to the postive side of the battery will now hook up to the + side of the eliminator. Then hook up another wire from the + side of the eliminator to the on/off switch.The other terminal on the eliminator will run a wire to the ground. It is very important that this wire is grounded to a clean surface.
