A meditation in rhythm, texture, and imperfection. This 12" x 12" wall-mounted relief is built from dozens of charred cedar circles, each one split before assembly—stacked into shifting rows of broken symmetry. The result is a deeply dimensional field of charred smooth arcs: familiar in form, but never repeating. The blackened wood surface—burnt by hand—gives the work a quiet gravity, while the white oak frame holds it all in stillness. There’s something organic here, something earthen and almost architectural. Like an artifact unearthed, or a topography remembered. Designed to catch light and shadow throughout the day.
