Kniphofia uvaria 'Alcazar' ~ Alcazar Red-Hot Poker, Torch Lily

Alcazar is a clumping upright perennial with coarse semi-evergreen lance leaves and long bronzing flower stems.  These naked stems hold large clusters of tubular flowers with richly orange buds that soften as they open to yellow starting from the bottom creating a bicolor affect throughout summer.  Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil.  The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
