Monrovia® Whirlwind Hosta is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its twisting variegated foliage. The glossy basal leaves are have irregular dark green margins and flame-like centers with colors that shift from ivory to chartreuse as the season progresses. The bell-like lavender flowers raise up in terminals from the rootstalk above the mound in mid-summer attracting butterflies and pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and moist well-drained soils.
