Chicago Apache Daylily is a long-blooming perennial with arching grass-like deep green foliage. Large, loosely rippled scarlet red flowers with a vivid yellow throat bloom throughout summer. Best bloom in deep rich well-drained soils. Drought and salt tolerant once established. Type: Perennial Height: 2' - 2.5' Spread: 1.5' - 2’ Spacing: 2’ USDA Hardiness Zone: 3 - 9 Culture: Full Sun, Part Sun Bloom Color: Red Season of Interest: Summer MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Relatively pest free, but watch for mites, aphids, and thrips. Daylily Rust can be problematic in some areas. Divide every 3-4 years in fall or spring.
