Butterfly Beltway Native Prairie Mix - Seed Packets

This is our Native Prairie Mix in smaller bags.  These are great for planting in containers and a great way to create pockets of wildlife friendly sections of your backyard habitat.  To prep an area of your yard to sow your seed mix, you should first remove any existing grass or weeds by mowing or digging, avoiding herbicides and pesticides. Then, loosen the soil with a rake or cultivator and remove any debris. Next, mix in compost or topsoil to improve soil fertility and structure. Once the soil is prepared, evenly spread the seeds and lightly rake the soil to cover the seeds. Finally, water the area frequently to keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate and establish.
