Curriculum Description Do you know how exposure to potentially infectious materials can occur in your laboratory? You will learn about common biosafety hazard classification systems, the steps, and how laboratory biosafety incidents are preventable. This curriculum is ideal for anyone who works in a laboratory setting. This curriculum consists of two online courses. Laboratory Biosafety Part 1 Understand Risk Laboratory Biosafety Part 2 Controlling Risk Curriculum Objectives Recall how exposure to potentially infectious materials can occur in the workplace via four exposure routes Identify appropriate personal protective equipment for laboratory settings Know what to do when things go wrong, such as following spill and emergency procedures Curriculum Duration 35 minutes Target Audience Managers, supervisors, engineers, and technicians or any individual working directly with this equipment or product Requisite Knowledge None
