"Kuguri-sashi" is one of Sashiko stitching techniques and very new to USA. Its stitching is completed by two steps - The first step is "Hitome-sashi" and the second step is "Weaving". That is, "Weaving" thread is woven under the threads of "Hitome-sashi" stitching by following the instructions.On the Olympus Sashiko sampler of "Kuguri-sashi", only the patterns for the first step ("Hitome-sashi") are pre- printed. "Kuguri-sashi" stitching creates 3D feeling finish as well as beautiful and elegant patterns.
