Seed Count: Approx. 300 seeds Days to Maturity: 68 Days Description: Genovese basil is a classic Italian heirloom, perfect for a bomb A** pesto. Basil loves warm weather, and this variety is slow to bolt, as long as you pinch off the blooms as they form. It's always a must in my garden. Plus, it's pretty fuss free, and super prolific. Genovese Basil will produce densely branched plants, if trimmed regularly. The flowers are delicious in teas, as a garnish, or in salads. I also like to dehydrate them with my basil leaves and add it to my dried basil seasoning. This variety grows about 2-3 ft. tall. Mint2Grow Tip: I like to plant my basil between my tomato plants. It makes a good defense against hornworms, and I've noticed significantly less of them when I do this. Basil makes for a delicious tea by itself, which is kind of
