SSR016 Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get to a North Carolina band, but SSR016 is the Christian deathcore powerhouse On Solid Ground.For some reason back in 2007 Christian deathcore was the heaviest thing you could find at the time. On Solid Ground was no exception. This gem of an ep has everything you could want from the genera: bone shattering crawls, noodly grind riffs, gorgeous guitar sweeps and moments that sound like you are about to embark on an epic journey (or is that just me?). Joe’s vocals are the cherry on top of all that incredible musicianship. Killer highs, strong lows and gutturals that sound exactly like Brook Reeves from the early days of Impending Doom.
