This antique Victorian era pendant was created as a mourning pendant for a loved one lost.  The pendant has a heart-shaped glass panel on the back, displaying an intricately woven lock of hair.  The heart shaped pendant is thick and "puffy,"  hollow but quite sturdy.  The heart is set with a pomegranate red garnet cabochon with glowing translucence.  The garnet is cut in a rare teardrop shape, a further symbol of the grief and mourning of the pendant's wearer.  The garnet is secure in a multi-prong setting.
