What a unique journal! It's crafted with a combination of peacock cowhide and a hand-marbled bison leather panel. The marbling is from my Kauai series. I've used a yellow jade stone as the closure which seems perfect for a journal -- it's said to bring optimism, wisdom and inner peace. The sketch-weight blank pages are stitched in with butterscotch thread for a lovely contrast at the spine. This long-stitch style binding also allows for easy use of the whole page, so functional for both writing or drawing!
