REA EXPRESS PORCELAIN SIGN, RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY SIGN, VINTAGE ADVERTISING SIGN, ANTIQUE PORCELAIN SIGN [ SHIPS FREE ] Original single-sided porcelain enamel sign. Great condition and color for age and use. This would have been mounted to a delivery truck, trailer, or train car (see last picture). The Railway Express Agency was the UPS or FedEx of it's day. They delivered nearly anything, anywhere. Great piece of advertising! REA legally formed in 1929 and terminated operations in 1975. They changed their name to REA Express in the early 1960s. This sign dates somewhere between early 1960-1975. 60" long x 3 5/8" wide CONDITION Porcelain is in very nice condition overall. Retains good color. Minor wear, light scuffs and scratches, edge wear, etc. One little spot on the "p" with some spiderweb cracking in the porcelain. See pics for condition details. Questions? We're happy to help.
