From April to September, the best place to be is on a porch swing. Maybe it's the slow rhythm of the back-and-forth movement...the subtle breeze on my face...the polite waves to neighbors walking their dogs...the cold glass of lemonade or mojito ...the memory of spending time on my grandparents' porch in the summer...or the smell of honeysuckle, fresh-cut grass, and the Japanese lilac tree in my yard.
