Finn Fingerless Mitts Pattern
These fingerless mitts are made in the tradition of Selbu mittens/gloves. They are knit in the round starting at the cuff. You can make these mitts with DPNs or Flexiflips. You could knit the mitten with magic loop, but I would suggest DPNs or Flexiflips. I made this pair for my husband who was patient while I made Arthur Mitts for all of our sons.Traditional Norwegian patterns carry a lot of symbolism in the motifs. These mitts carry symbolism of triumph, protection, love, courage, guidance, understanding, gentleness, humility, devotion, goodness, faith, hope and did I say protection? I want my loved ones to have all of these things. I hope you love making these mitts! I made them with Tuku Fingering. Tuku is a lovely yarn from Finland.I love wearing fingerless mitts because they keep you warm while still keeping your fingers free.Sizes Women’s large/men’s medium: 4.5 (11.25 cm) x 7.25” (19 cm)YarnTuku Wool |Fingering| 100 % Finnish Wool | 200 m (218 yd) per 50-g skein| Main Color: 1
