Arthur Mitts Pattern
Arthur Olsen was my great-grandpa. He was born in Norway, and as a boy, he skied to school. He immigrated to the United States with his family when he was ten years old. He returned to Norway as a young man, but then crossed the Atlantic one more time to live in the United States for the rest of his life. He was a major influence throughout my childhood and teenage years. He worked hard and loved his family. He was an artist and painter and had a beautiful singing voice. He made the world a more beautiful place. I knit these mittens for all my boys for Christmas, to remind them of their great-great-grandpa. I am happy to share this pattern and Arthur’s legacy with you.Arthur fingerless mitts, are a twist on a traditional Selbu mitten.
