You are purchasing the light fill sketch stitch version of the bunny trio. The tails are French knots for a textured look. These sketch stitch designs look best on light or white colored items as the fabric is meant to show through. You can use white heat transfer vinyl underneath the stitches on dark colored items to make the thread colors pop against the dark items. There are tutorials online for this method if you aren't familiar with it.
