Eola Hills Wine Cellars Barrel Select Pinot Noir 2019, Oregon

Eola Hills is family-owned and has been making wines in Oregon since 1986. In this instance, select barrels from their best Oregon vineyard lots are blended together to create the best Pinot possible. This is classic, Burgundy-style Pinot noir, with a nose of fresh raspberry and some earth, wet Autumn leaves. It’s full of cherry and strawberry flavors and has a silky mouthfeel. There’s a lingering cranberry tartness on the finish. Try it with salmon garnished with lemon peel and dill, or with a marinated and grilled pork tenderloin, served with an arugula, goat cheese and blueberry salad.
