Desert Star

Shooting the Kofa mountains meant reacting to light instantaneously. As the light emerged from behind the mountains it spread in an angled fashion through the landscape below. One could anticipate where the light would hit next, and moving  composition as the light changed while trying to contain excitement and not get attacked by the Cholla was challenging to say the least. The high dynamic range, ridiculous lens flares, intermittent sun star all added to the drama but the glow on those cacti forced me to keep on shooting
