Dream

During this trip to Alaska we were transported by boat to one of the smaller fjords of Glacier Bay. Here the cruise ships did not come through. The forest was so thick that it was impossible to bushwhack your way for more than a few feet in any direction. We set up camp at this spot and began to explore the various inlets via kayak. The nearby glacier, hidden waterfalls, floating towers/icebergs, the curious seals, the cry of the seagulls, smell of salt in the air and the pleasure of gliding through the scene on Kayaks so silent, as if it was all a dream that one could wake up from anytime. When I look back on my life, I will remember this day fondly as one truly well lived, but at the same time cannot help but wonder was it all a dream.
