Starfish Charm Necklace with Turquoise Cabochon Setting

When I created this piece, I was wishing that I was back in Jamaica with the sun shining down on me, out on the turquoise waters of the Caribbean snorkeling, marveling at so many different colors of starfish! I hand-created a silver bezel around a 6mm genuine turquoise cabochon from the Kingman mine. It is surrounded with a rope detail and soldered on a thick sterling sheet, which I've stamped .925 and my maker mark. I created a starfish with a rustic detailed finish and connected it to the turquoise link with sterling silver jump rings that are all soldered closed for security. The chain is adjustable by hooking into the links at any point up to 22 inches (55.88cm). I handmade the hook that is soldered closed around the chain link and I've finished the other end off with a coordinating genuine Kingman turquoise bead. If you wish to change out the chain to another style, the bead will slip through the jump rings. The links hang a total of 1.90 inches from the top of the jump rings on t
