Nacozari Turquoise Heart Necklace with Sterling Silver Succulent Flower

My love of gardening and my turquoise obsession combine in this piece. I hand-set a 22 carat Nacozari turquoise (with lots of pyrite sparkles) heart cabochon into a .999 fine silver bezel and used thick sterling sheet that is patterned with a cool Southwest design. I soldered a real sterling silver cast succulent embellishment, used twisted rope detail around the stone and as the ring that the fancy patterned bail hangs from. This is a sturdy piece that has well over 13 grams of silver and hangs on a thick 20" sterling silver rolo chain that's finished with a large lobster clasp. The pendant is 1.75" (3.5cm) from the top of the bail to the bottom and approximately 1.30" (3.3cm) at the widest.
