Carved from translucent carnelian, the domed form drilled for suspension and with a rounded top and a convex face featuring a long eared hare in left profile. Medium: Carnelian, gold Dimensions: Seal height: 1/4 inch (0.63 cm). Pendant drop length: 3/4 inch (1.9 cm). Strung on an 18-inch adjustable chain. Condition: The seal is intact and in excellent condition overall. It has been modern set on a 14K gold pendant with an 18K yellow gold adjustable chain. Provenance: Private German collection acquired in the 1960s, thereafter a private Swiss collection.
