A rare middle Assyrian Bull Pendant, ca. 16th - 10th century BCE

possibly from Ashur, a superbly carved and detailed bull-calf of mottled red-brown agate with high karat gold wire and turned around the body.  For a very similar example and discussion see:  Maxwell-Hyslop, K.R.
