A small clay dish, covered in black glaze, features a deep, round body and stands on a short foot, which remains uncovered by the glaze. Although the original purpose of these small, charming dishes is unknown, they were dubbed 'salt' dishes in the 18th century due to their resemblance to examples at that time. Medium: Clay Dimensions: Height: 1 7/8 inches (4.6 cm), Diameter: 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) Condition: A small crack to the center of the foot, and small flakes of paint loss, overall intact and in good condition.
