"O mighty Archangel Gabriel, the  Church venerates you as the "Angel of the Incarnation" because God appointed you to bear the messages concerning the Savior of the world. Your very name means "God is my strength." Strengthen my will to strive for holiness of life. Steady my resolutions and renew my courage. Help me in my daily trials and console me in my afflictions, as you consoled our Savior in His agony, Marý in her sorrows, and Joseph in his trials. l ask for courage, strength, and wisdom to always trust and follow the will of God.  Remind me that my time on earth is brief. Inspire me to lift my eyes from the vanities of this world, to turn away from all sin, and to always fix my eyes on Jesus. O powerful Archangel Gabriel, defend the Holy Catholic Church; shelter our sovereign pontiff, all priests, religious and laity from the powers of darkness. Inspire us to live and proclaim the light of the gospel with courage and charity, and prepare our hearts and minds for the Second Comin
