HWY-17 Artisan Soap My beloved road. What a strange stance to have, I know. Ever since I was little, the mountains near my childhood home called my name. Every part of my being was drawn to its peacefulness. It had the most striking tree line, and the first element of nature I truly fell in love with - morning fog spilling over from the coast. All it had to do was simply exist and it was beautiful for it. This is the road that let me explore this magical horizon I admired from afar for so many years. Every time I get to drive this road as an adult, I fall even deeper in love with the Californian forests filled with our Californian Redwoods (our state tree, which only lives here!), cedars, ferns, naked lady lilies (the flower version of mushrooms!), seasonal springs, clay, deer, foxes, horned owls, coastal fog trapped between the trees.... just below the heart of Silicon Valley, there's this seemingly untouched part of nature that humans built a road through and left the rest. I am so t
