Decorated Velvet Dalo (Dali)

This hand weaved traditional bamboo basket is everyday household essential in Nepal. It has various names depending on different regions of Nepal like Dhaki/Dalo/ Dali . Its manufactured using sustainable material Bamboo which is seasonally grown in Nepal. It usually is produced by marginalized communities in Nepal and provides source of income to those individual weavers. Dalo is traditionally used to store grains, used in ceremonies like pooja and Upanayana/ Bratamandha, and now days it can be used as decoration, storage or even decorate the flower vase or as a fruit basket.   Length: 9" Diameter: 14"
