Discovered in 2001 by John Randall and Richard Pyle, these enchanting fish inhabit the twilight reefs of Palau and the Majuro Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Their preferred depth range is 60–92 meters, and they measure approximately 3 inches in standard length. Male Cirrhilabrus earlei are adorned with sword-shaped tails, while the tiny female species exhibit similar colors as the males, stimulating the males during the nuptial process. These fairy wrasses are truly a wonder of the deep sea!
