Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Ice Tongs designed by Leonore Doskow

Description These Sterling Silver Ice Tongs were designed by Leonore Doskow and retailed by Tiffany Co. Circa 1950's  The ice tongs feature a square rod design and is one continuous rod that has been twisted into spring.  Leonore Doskow (1911-2008) was featured in the 1973 edition of Silver Magazine and once had a sugar bowl which she designed exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1940. Her company, Leonore Doskow, Inc. which her and her husband started in the mid to late 1930's manufactured silver novelties of her own design which were sold to upscale retail stores throughout the country.  More Info  Condition:  Excellent - item is in good working condition with no cosmetic issues.  Size:  5 x 1 5/8 "  Weight:  34 grams
