The beautiful woodblock print, 'Bishu Fujimigahara' (View from Fujimigahara in Owari Province), is by Hokusai Katsushika (1760-1849). It is part of the series 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji' (Fugaku sanjūrokkei) and is a re-carved edition. This edition was published by Yuyudo in the Showa era (the 1980s) and is smaller than the regular Oban size. The print features highly detailed carving and beautiful embossing, reflecting the high-quality craftsmanship of this famous publisher. A unique view of Mt. Fuji from Fujimigahara. A craftsman is working hard to make a large wooden bucket. Through the bucket, you can see a small Mt. Fuji in the distance.
