ABOUT This is a large iron French bottle rack with 17 tiers. This piece has retained its original finish with minor structural damage. CREATOR Unknown. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1800s. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Zinc Coated Iron. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. 7 spikes have been broken off DIMENSIONS H 70.5 in. Diameter 23 in. HISTORY Bottle racks were used to dry wine bottles in the vineyards.
