MCM Folke Ohlsson for DUX Reclining Lounge Chairs and Adjustable Ottomans c.1960

ABOUT An original pair of refurbished Folke Ohlsson for DUX Teak reclining lounge chairs with adjustable ottomans. There are 8 reclining positions for the chairs and 2 sizes for the ottomans. All joinery on both chairs and both ottomans have been professionally re-glued. Each Teak frame on both chairs and both ottomans have been refinished. Both seat cushions have been replaced for extra comfort.  The armchairs and ottomans have a solid Teak wood frame with sculpted armrests and sleek, angled legs. These sculptural chairs feature a spring tension mechanism that allows for rocking motion and different locking reclining positions. CREATOR Designer by Folke Ohlsson for DUX, Sweden. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1960s. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Teak, Wool Fabric. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Reupholstered sometime in their lifetime. Minor wear on both fabric seats in the center. One ottoman's base has been replaced with a handmade base. Slight bend on one leg of one ottoman.
