Copper Plated Parrot Bookends by Armor Bronze c.1930

ABOUT This is an original pair of Art Deco copper plated parrot bookends manufactured by Armor Bronze Company, New York USA. They are made from copper plated cast gray or "pot" metal which has been filled in with lead. Originally they would have been mounted on marble bases. Both pieces have retained their original copper finish, which has lifted underneath both bird's tails.
