Cornu’s exemplary Aligoté comes from a massale-selection parcel planted in 1962 in Ladoix’s Clos du Meix Gobillon, with soils of gravel and clay. Aged eight months on its fine lees in stainless steel, it offers a well-measured balance of crisp fruitiness and saline depth, with an appealing grip of dry extract which elongates the finish nicely.
