The Cotton Square Pillow is then sewn by nonprofit organization in India who employs disadvantaged women. Block printing is a laborious process whereby the artisan dips a hand carved wood block (made by another artisan!) in a dye or pigment, allows the fabric to dry in the sun, then hand washes out excess dye/pigment to achieve a finished fabric.
