Though initially developed as a student model in 1964, the Mustang has taken a new life from the 90's on largely due to the prominence they took in the early grunge scene with bands like Nirvana bringing these incredible little guitars to popularity. This is a great example from 1964/65 in a rare, original Daphne Blue and sports a 24" scale length and 1 1/2" nut. Pot codes date back to the 40th week of 1964 and the pickups are marked "1-8-65". The frets are a bit low, but still very playable, and the decals, hardware, and plastics are all in great condition. This one is all-original aside from a replaced bridge selector switch and bone nut, the original nut is included in the case. The finish is in weathered, but overall very good condition with a few nicks, beautiful finish-checking, and small areas of buckle rash on the back of the body and on the upper bout (pictured) as you would usually find on these players.
