Pink Opal Splitter Posts in 14kt Gold.  Five pink opal teardrops wrapped in sterling silver and set on 14kt gold discs. A split down the center opens the earring up so that the earlobe slips between and peaks out a bit. I reclaimed an entire lot of estate jewelry from as early as 1840. What couldn't be salvaged, I melted down, pressed with a rolling mill, hand-hammered, and then pierced and formed into what you see here. I hammered them pretty thin, so these earrings are lightweight, purposefully rough, and raw. Made with lotsa love, heart, and soul. Made for the everyday. Details: The earring body measures  1'' x 1'' Oxidized to make the details pop and hand buffed for a soft glow.
