Performance monitoring and management is a critical component of ensuring a system is up-to-date, reflective of the risks and needs of the organization, and is quickly adjusted or corrected to best protect the organization’s interests. It enables internal self-reporting of nonconformities and corrective actions, as well as for scheduled or event driven self-evaluations. The process also allows external 3rd party auditors to quickly determine how effective, or ineffective, the system is.
