During his prime years he was often pictured playing with a unique soviet style chess set and therfore lending his name to the origin of the chess set. The chess pieces follow the typical design language of a soviet chess set with distincty long and sleek shanks on the body with broad bases. Loving carved by our expert craftsmen, this set features high on collectability due to its unique design and associated history. In order to increase the stability of the pieces, we have added extra weight at base. This improves playability and better performance on the chess board.
