Slightly Imperfect 4.3" British Chess Company (BCC) Chess Set - Chess Pieces Only - Ebony Wood - Triple Weight

 Imperfect Chess Sets may have slight repairs carried out in the pieces and minute color mismatch may be observed. Otherwise, they are of high quality like any of our typical chess sets of the same range and are in proper playable/ usable condition. BCC was established as a competitor to the Famous Jacques of London to compete in the market for high-end luxury chess sets. They are famous for introducing innovative techniques and designs to the market. In order to reduce the cost of carving the knight's head, they introduced the newly developed plastic Xylonite to cast the heads of knights. 2nd important innovation there's was to introduce double collared pawns. This was rumored to increase the strength of the pieces and prevent them from cracking. Its validity is however unproven.   BCC is famous for introducing 2 important variations for their designs. Royal Chessmen and Imperial Chessmen.
