A. Milne - The Jest of Hahalaba, Lord Dunsany - In the Shadow of the Glen, J. M. Singe - Cathleen ni Houlihan, William Butler Yeats - A Marriage Proposal, Anton Chekhov - Spreading the News, Lady Gregory - A Florentine Tragedy, Oscar Wilde Cerf and Cartmell, were well known in theater and publishing areas. Bennett Cerf (1898-1971) became a household name in the early days of television, appearing as a frequent, and popular, panelist on the long running game show "What's My Line." This copy is in only fair to poor condition. It is an acceptable reader's copy, but a chubby trade paperback for its day. The spine is broken at the binding at from pages 270-280 and there are ten loose pages. The only marks we have found are the numbers in the margin of the Contents page. It measures 7 inches high x 1.25" wide x 1.25" thick and is 558 pages long.
