Bright orange without much blush, this apricot is an eye pleaser. Large with near identical lobes with a waxy skin and little fuzz. They ripen slightly earlier than other apricots to help extend the harvest season. In April, the tree is flush with bright white flowers that are extraordinarily fragrant. This ripening time, while late for stone fruits, means the tree is susceptible late frosts in northern climates. The tree can usually handle these temperatures but the flowers cannot freeze. The pit is on the larger side but is freestone.  When the fruits are the size of grapes, thin them out so that there is one fruit every 4 to 6 inches along the branch. This will help increase the size of the remaining fruit and maintain the health of the tree.
