'Halophilic' - 8x8 Original Painting

My original 8x8 painting, 'Halophilic', was created using Watercolor, Ink, & Thread on canvas. Comes framed in a white floating frame, signed and in a secure package, ready to hang.  This painting was inspired by the pink lakes of Australia. Did you know? Climate scientists are saying that in Australia, they may start seeing more pink lakes because of declining rainfall? And the ones that do exist are at risk of drying up due to climate change. For many aboriginal people in Australia, the loss of these lakes would also be a loss of cultural heritage for many of them. Pink Lake near Massenbauer for example, is part of an aboriginal Dreamtime story about a great snake that turned the water pink, and was part of their walkabout.When you purchase this painting, 10% of the sale will be donated to the Nature Conservancy in Australia, who actively partner with indigenous communities to manage their land for conservation.
