Sweeney Mini Quick Release The Mini Quick Release is designed to be squib or manually operated. It features heat treated chromoly hook and latch and has a working load limit of 200 LBS.The Mini trip has dimensions of  2 3/4 in. x 1 3/4in. x 5/8in.  and a 200 lbs. working load capacity. Don't forget to order the Shackle!  For squib operation it is recommended to use the MP Associates T12-1/2  squib or the De La Mare D60-1/4 or 1/2. When we tested these, they broke at 1100 lbs. Quick releases have been around in special effects forever, but we improved on the old design with a redesigned latch geometry and made the hooks and latches out of heat treated 4130. The mini quick release trip has an adjustable and replaceable spring plunger. This is really an entertainment industry specific quick release designed for special effects technicians and stunt performers. Best results come when this trip is operated by a squib.
