This is an A+ fossil tooth from a giant White Shark, Carcharocles megalodon. It was found in the Hawthorne Formation, Beaufort County, South Carolina, U.S.A. It dates from the Pliocene.The tooth measures 4.2 inches in length and 3.25 inches wide at the base. The enamel (some has been polished) and serrations are extremely well-preserved.
